Sativa-Terpene

The most prevalent sativa terpenes are limonene, pinene, terpinolene and ocimene. Each provides its own unique scent - limonene is citrusy, pinene smells like pine, terpinolene has a floral scent and ocimene lends a sweet, herbal note. These terpenes synergize to produce the energizing aroma/flavor of which sativa strains are characterized.

Find a product that states which terpene profile is being used and offers a third-party Certificate of Analysis (COA). True sativa terpenes will be isolated from actual plant matter, and should smell clean and pungent. Steer clear of items that have unclear labels, or are not lab tested and certified, as these might not give you the real sativa experience.

Yes, you can blend sativa terpenes with other terpene profiles. A lot of people like to pair sativa and hybrid terpenes for a more equal effect profile, or just experiment with fun flavors. Take it slow, try your blend out and see where you like it so much.
